I am sad to say that my amazing mommy who rescued me from the streets as a puppy has recently passed away, and her daughter who I surely thought would do her mother honor and take care of me is moving and wants nothing to do with me, only that I live out the rest of my days on the streets, alone. I have a sister cat who was also abandoned, somewhere, I don't know where. I was abused, so I am skinny and get a little scared when you try to pet me or touch my body. Luckily, I was found by a very nice girl who took me in, fed me, and gave me shelter. She is not allowed to keep me, so I need a new mommy or daddy. I'm 12 years old and a medium-size mix between a labrador, I think, and a chow because my tongue is purple. I get along with other dogs, children, and even cats (I am currently living with a kitten); I like to say "hi" to them and then go on my way. I absolutely love to go for walks! I can walk for hours...you will get tired before I ever will! I am also quite talented as I can relieve myself on only my two front legs! I may not respond when you call my name as my hearing is poor, and I am a very calm dog (I don't like to bark), but show me my leash and I'll jump and go nuts! I might be on medication but I am not sure. Life is not easy for me right now, but this underdog wants to show you what she has to offer! I am gentle and sweet with a puppy face, and given time, I will cuddle up to you, let you pet me without me getting frightened, and give you big licks on your face. I need a good home to live a happy senior life.
