Pit Bull Terrier - Large - Adult - Male - Dog - BARTON

Barton is a 56 pound pit bull who was abandoned in our parking lot. He is a confident friendly dog who is looking for an experienced dog person who wants a best friend. He would love to go to obedience class and challenge his intelligent mind. He needs a lot of daily excercise, guidance and structure. We recommend he be on only child in an adult home or a home with adults and teenagers.Here are the comments from one of our wonderful volunteers: Barton is a little pushy on the leash if allowed. He likes to explore with his nose and eyes. He is young adult and some patient / consistent training would go a long way and I believe the training will make Barton feel more comfortable. He is on the independent side when off the lead in an open area.
