Welcome to Mar 1 Sport fishing, if you are looking for the fishing trip of a lifetime you have come to the right place. We offer ½, ¾ and full Day trips and are located in Quepos Costa Rica which is on the Central Pacific coast. Quepos is a world renowned spot for fishing for Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Tuna and Wahoo for starters and that is just off shore!!! You will also find huge populations of Rooster fish, Snapper and Grouper in shore.
Quepos is approximately a 3 hr drive from the International Airport in San Jose or a 20 minute flight if you prefer a quicker transfer to Quepos but the drive is amazing and is worth the time. Quepos is a quaint little fishing village with streets lined with small shops, bars and restaurants where you can always manage to get into a fish tale or two with someone. If you are looking for the tropics or a beach surroundings during your stay, the World famous Manuel Antonio National Park is the place for you and is only a 15min taxi ride away. There are hotels, restaurants and bars all the way from Quepos to the end of the road at the entrance of the park and range from 5 Star hotels that will amaze you all the way to places to pitch a tent.
