Smartphone technology and mobile platform development
Our client, a provider in mobile web solutions, is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer. This role is client-facing, fast-paced, wide-ranging and challenging. It requires a mixture of application deployment skills, problem-solving, presentation skills, sales awareness, ability to write quotes and proposals, and general business acumen. Travel will be required.
Responsibilities
* Provide pre-sales consulting support
* Create, develop, and present solutions, proposals, and presentations for/with opportunity leaders and/or prospective customers
* Maintain toolkit for responding to typical pre-sales inquiries
* Assist in development of technically oriented sales and marketing materials
* Support and develop sales tools, account management programs, and training sessions for prospects and customers
* Relay client feedback and requirements to the development team in the form of business requirement and use case documents
* Coordinate account on-boarding and assure smooth transition to the development team
* Reanalyze client situations as they progress and recommend sales upsells
Minimum Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of programming, preferably in Perl and/or Java
* Strong knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and Javascript, preferably with web development experience
* Minimum of 2 years in sales, with a demonstrated track record of sales achievement, technical competence, and customer satisfaction
* Ability to work with standardized and highly engineered products and solutions
* Knowledge of enterprise purchasing procedures
* Willingness to travel extensively and work non-standard work hours
* Foreign language skills preferred but not required
Possible pluses:
* Experience with ecommerce web sites a plus
* Background in technical consulting a plus
